Cork Unitarian Church services are not like other churches which might be highly liturgical or overmuch into preaching.  Instead we have a very loosely flowing and flexible format. A typical service might flow something like this:

• We aspire to be punctual – services lasting 60 minutes.
• We sit at a large table or in a circle, facing each other. There is no front or back of the congregation. The focus is on the congregation – i.e. each other.
• There is usually coffee and tea.
• There will be some music
• A brief opening ceremony
• Not typically a single leader, rather different people would have been assigned to take the lead on different part of the service.
• There would be one to two inspiration readings chosen by  the people doing those readings
•  There would be an opportunity for everyone to propose intentions for our thought and prayers
• There would be a brief inspirational talk
• We would conclude with a closing blessing
